Had a blast serving as a judge, and one of the sponsors for the 3rd Annual Pocono Township Fishing Derby! A little snow didn’t stop our community from coming out in full force for a great day of fishing and neighborly fun. One of the best parts? Helping my grandkids fish and seeing the excitement on their faces. Moments like that are what it's all about. Huge congratulations to Andrew, who reeled in the $1,400 grand prize! Events like these remind us what local pride and community spirit are all about. Can’t wait to see everyone at Touch a Truck where Northeast Site Contractors will be out in full force!

I wanted to take a moment to shine a spotlight on an extraordinary man and someone I’m proud to call a friend, Detective Chris Shelley. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Chris and his incredible family. His dedication to the Olson Christmas Wish and countless other acts of service speak volumes about the kind of person he is: selfless, compassionate, and unwavering in his commitment to helping others. This past Saturday night, Chris was recognized as First Responder of the Week, and it couldn’t have gone to a more deserving individual. His heroic, life-saving actions during the Goal Line fire in East Stroudsburg are a reminder of the courage and strength our first responders display every day.

Today, I had the honor of attending Monroe County 250 Founders Day celebration at the beautiful new courthouse. It was a neat opportunity to explore the facility and all it offers to the residents of our county. The event was a celebration of our history and community from hearing passionate local historians, to enjoying live music, and seeing so many familiar faces come together to honor our shared roots. A big thank you to Dave Parker for making this milestone celebration, and to all our County Services and employees who help make Monroe County such a wonderful place to live. I’m especially proud that Pocono Township was able to take part in such a meaningful day. Here's to 250 years of rich history and a bright future ahead!
