Securing Library Access for Pocono Township Residents

July 23, 2025

A temporary solution to ensure no resident is left without resources

There’s been a lot of speculation and concern about the future of our local library. I want to be clear: our board remains fully committed to maintaining a library presence here in Pocono Township.

Library access is essential. Whether it’s for children learning to read, adults seeking information, or seniors staying connected, these resources are a vital part of our community. While conversations with the library board continue in pursuit of a permanent, long-term solution, I don’t believe our residents should go without access in the meantime.

That’s why I’ve partnered with Northampton Community College to secure a special discounted library membership for Pocono Township residents. This membership is just $8 per year, an affordable option that ensures continued access to books, technology, and educational materials.

And for our seniors, veterans, or low-income residents, I will personally cover the cost of your membership. This is not just a promise, it’s a demonstration of my commitment to serving every member of our community and making sure no one is left behind.

Thank you for your continued support and patience. I’m confident that together we will find a long-term library solution that serves Pocono Township well for years to come.
