★about me★

Hi, I'm Brian

Committed to Pocono Township

Where I Come From

For over 45 years, I’ve called this incredible community home. Coming from a hardworking, middle-class family in Bushkill, PA, I learned early on that if you want something, you work for it. From my first jobs in retail and restaurants as a teenager to building my own businesses from the ground up, I’ve always believed in dedication, perseverance, and integrity.

As a homeowner, business owner, and community leader, I understand the challenges our residents face and the importance of responsible leadership that protects both our quality of life and financial future.

My experiences in public service, business, and development have shaped

My commitment to Pocono Township’s future. I’ve proudly served as Pocono Township Commissioner, Vice Chair of the Monroe County Conservation District, and Board Member of the Dirt & Gravel Road Program, where I’ve worked to protect our environment, ensure responsible development, and support essential services like police and fire.

I believe in efficient government, smart growth, and keeping taxes in check so that Pocono Township remains a great place for families, seniors, and future generations.

A Thriving Career

I built my career through hard work, determination, and a commitment to progress. Starting from humble beginnings, I grew from early jobs in retail and hospitality to leading successful businesses that create jobs and contribute to our local economy.

As co-founder of Northeast Site Contractors in 2005, I started with just two employees, a truck, an excavator, and a bulldozer. Today, the company employs over 90 local people, operates more than 100 pieces of equipment, and holds full prequalification from PennDOT, the Department of General Services, and the Army Corps of Engineers. In 2014, we were recognized as one of 12 finalists for Equipment World Magazine’s Contractor of the Year.

Through Trapasso & Winot Enterprises LLC, I helped bring Monroe County’s first Sheetz and am now leading the development of 356 townhomes in Swiftwater to help address our area’s housing shortage.

Earlier, I led the Pocono Ice Arena @ Shawnee, where I helped establish the region’s first NHL regulation-size indoor ice rink, built youth hockey programs, and founded and coached East Stroudsburg University’s collegiate hockey team. I also rose from laborer to senior management at Haines & Kibblehouse, Inc., specializing in civil construction and highway contracting.

These experiences have shaped my ability to manage resources effectively and make decisions that impact not just a business — but our entire community.

Full Bio

I am a husband, father, grandfather, business owner, and real estate developer who has called Monroe County home for over 45 years. As an avid outdoorsman, conservationist, and Ironman triathlete, I believe in hard work, discipline, and perseverance. I have spent my life building businesses, supporting my community, and advocating for responsible development and fiscal responsibility. As a Pocono Township Commissioner, my goal is to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, public safety remains a top priority, and our community continues to grow in a sustainable, responsible way.

I co-founded Northeast Site Contractors in 2005 with just two employees, a truck, an excavator, and a bulldozer. Through dedication and persistence, I grew the company to over 90 local employees, 100 pieces of equipment, and 50 trucks, earning full prequalification from PennDOT, the Department of General Services, and the Army Corps of Engineers. In 2014, our company was recognized as one of 12 finalists for Equipment World Magazine’s Contractor of the Year. My work in commercial development extends to Trapasso & Winot Enterprises LLC, where I helped bring Monroe County’s first Sheetz and now lead the development of 356 townhomes in Swiftwater to help address our area’s housing shortage.

Before that, I led the Pocono Ice Arena @ Shawnee, where I helped establish the region’s first NHL regulation-size indoor ice rink. I built successful youth hockey programs and founded East Stroudsburg University’s collegiate ice hockey team. Earlier in my career, I worked my way up from a laborer to senior estimator and senior management team member at Haines & Kibblehouse, Inc., specializing in civil construction and heavy highway contracting. My experience in large-scale infrastructure projects has given me valuable insight into managing public resources effectively.

In addition to my professional experience, I’ve remained active in civic leadership. I currently serve as Vice-Chairman of the Monroe County Conservation District Board of Directors, Chairman of the Monroe County Dirt and Gravel Road Program Board, and as a member of the Middle Smithfield Township Building Code Board of Appeals. I previously served as President of General Ambulance Corp in Stroudsburg and as assistant race director for the Pocono Mountain Ironman 70.3. These experiences have reinforced my passion for public service and my commitment to improving the quality of life in our community.

Giving back to the community has always been a core part of who I am. My family and I focus on supporting children and public safety initiatives through philanthropy. I’ve personally funded the Pocono Township Police Department’s drone program, purchased bulletproof tactical vests for Stroud Area Regional Police K-9 officers, and paid off the delinquent school lunch debt for every elementary school in Monroe County. I also provide scholarships for student-athletes and conservation programs, fund local law enforcement and first responder initiatives, and support organizations such as the Dale and Francis Hughes Cancer Center, Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center, and Monroe County Historical Society. I believe making a difference means taking action, not just talking about it.

As a Commissioner, my focus remains on fiscal responsibility, public safety, and economic development. I am committed to ensuring taxpayer dollars are used efficiently, working to identify alternative funding sources before considering tax increases. I support our Police and Fire Departments by ensuring they have the resources they need while leveraging my construction and fleet management experience to help develop cost-effective maintenance strategies. I believe the key to long-term financial stability is expanding our commercial tax base, bringing in responsible businesses that help fund our township without placing the burden on homeowners. My goal is to develop our commercial and recreational zones strategically while enforcing strong zoning laws to limit warehouse expansion and keep heavy truck traffic off our local roads.

One of the most important aspects of leadership is communication. I believe in open, honest, and direct conversations — whether through in-person meetings or phone calls, not through sound bites or social media arguments. I am dedicated to working with my fellow Commissioners, Township leadership, and residents to ensure that Pocono Township remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

I am not a career politician, nor do I intend to be. My commitment is to Pocono Township and its residents. I have no interest in using this position as a stepping stone for higher office — my only goal is to make a real, lasting impact right here in our community. With my experience in business, public service, and community development, I bring a practical, results-driven approach to local government. I look forward to continuing to serve Pocono Township and working toward a stronger, more prosperous future for all of us.
