Chris Shelly honored for Life Saving Event

April 21, 2025

I wanted to take a moment to shine a spotlight on an extraordinary man and someone I’m proud to call a friend, Detective Chris Shelley. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Chris and his incredible family. His dedication to the Olson Christmas Wish and countless other acts of service speak volumes about the kind of person he is: selfless, compassionate, and unwavering in his commitment to helping others.

This past Saturday night, Chris was recognized as First Responder of the Week, and it couldn’t have gone to a more deserving individual. His heroic, life-saving actions during the Goal Line fire in East Stroudsburg are a reminder of the courage and strength our first responders display every day.

In a world that often feels heavy, Chris brings light. He leads by example, and it was truly an honor to present him with a special jersey in recognition of his incredible service and bravery. Thank you, Chris, for being a force for good and for reminding us what true heroism looks like.
